-Greensboro is now under a county and state stay-at-home order. We ask that you only take essential travel on GTA, and if you must travel, use prescribed precautions. - Now available on all GTA and SCAT buses...hand sanitizer dispensers have been installed for the safety of riders and operators. If you must travel, travel safely. - Effective immediately, all GTA and SCAT buses are fare-free. You do not have to use cash or passes for your travels until further notice. - Due to the mandated closings of UNC campuses and the shutdown of Bennett College, HEAT will end service Thursday, March 19 at 3 pm until further notice. - Until further notice, GTA will operate hourly service along normal routes. This will allow time for cleaning and sanitizing of buses throughout the day. - The GTA Administrative Office is closed to the public effective immediately. All GTA ID Cards and passes for Fixed Route and SCAT remain available for purchase at the Depot Monday - Friday 5a to 9p, Saturday 7a to 7p and Sunday 7a to 5p. - March 16 - 27, GTA's Administrative Offices along with the City of Greensboro will offer reduced office hours each day 10 am to 3 pm. - The March meeting of the Greensboro Transit Advisory Commission has been cancelled. Also by direction of the Mayor, all City Boards and Commissions will halt meetings for the next 30 days. The GTAC generally meets the 4th Tuesday of every month at 6 pm at the GTA Administrative Offices. The meeting dates for 2020 are (subject to change): January 28, February 25, March 24 (cancelled), April 28, May 26, June 23, July 28, August 25, September 22, October 27 with November and December TBD.
